My home needed repair from the roof to the foundation and places in between. I met Brett Weis when I was his son’s teacher at a Christian school. I felt I could trust him because of observations and experiences during that time. Brett and his crew worked diligently to replace my roof and siding. He “invented” a tool to fill the cinderblock walls and installed new anchor bolts (not sure this is the correct term), and he repaired a leak in the shower that had caused stalactites in the basement. When I had a severe basement flooding problem, Brett did not quit until he solved it. He also repaired the house where I grew up, that renters had trashed.

Brett Construction and the Weis family continue to be a blessing to me.

Brett Construction, Inc. built our home in Topping, Virginia in 2006. Our architect recommended Brett Weis' company. It proved to be an amiable working relationship. From the beginning, Brett provided us with a list of subcontractors, complete with telephone numbers.

Throughout the construction phase of the project, Brett and his supervisor were readily accessible Monday through Friday by cell phone as well as e-mail. They were always kind and responsive to our needs, willing to listen to our viewpoint and act on it. When a problem arose, it was handled quickly. As homeowners, we were always on top of things at the construction site, two to four times a week. The electrician did a superb job of wiring our house.

Throughout our home building project, Brett was always timely and responsive, keeping us informed on the progress with our subcontractors. Please consider this letter as an endorsement for Brett Construction, Inc.

Brett impressed us from the start...for instance... in an early discussion with him we couldn't decide what type of windows to use. Brett offered to take us right then to a job close by that he was doing to see and alternative style. We hopped in our cars and drove to the site. This not only gave us the opportunity to see the windows, but also to see his work and job site. Both were very impressive. He delivers high quality work and insists his guys keep the job site neat which shows his organizational skills.

We handed him a check for a down payment to start the job and then had problems getting the permit due to a survey issue...it was several weeks before he was able to start and I admit, I was a little concerned. Once we got the issue resolved (which by the way he jumped in and helped get it resolved was much faster than I could have on my own since I don't live in Mathews), his crew had the footings dug, poured, inspected, posts set and our second story 14x30 addition framed and sheathing on the roof in a matter of 7 working days. We are very impressed and happy with the service we have received from Brett.

One other thing I wanted to mention is the communication factor. Brett is a great communicator. He has stayed in touch with us via e-mail and phone throughout the process. Hardly a day goes by that I don't hear from him. Not being able to see the job site every day is hard for us so he even sends me pictures from his phone so I can see the progress.

In closing I would just like to add that we have dealt with many contractors throughout our lives and would have to place Brett's company at the top of the list.
